New Years Eve 2000: "Microbell" Memory

A Chihuahua named "Micro"

A snap shot memory of one of the greatest Chihuahuas to ever bless my life. Micro was about 5 years old in this circa Y2K photo.

She was also just a mere 19 ounces "big" (ONE pound 3 ounces full grown). Yes, she was no bigger than the Beanie Baby type Stuffed animals that she so loved to play with. Tradegically, Micro was lost prematurely in a car accident in 2002 (just 2 years later) at a young 7 years old. She was with my husband when another driver totaled his car & sent him to the hospital. Micro went to the Rainbow Bridge. However, Micro's magnificent spirit shall always remain with us.

Although, there may be other tiny Chihuahuas, there will never be another "Micro".

Admittedly not great photography, this photo is still dear to my heart. It was taken with a Polaroid camera just past midnight on New Years Eve 2000. My husband had to stay at work overnight on Y2K - just in case the world really "might" start to collapse with the turn of the Millennium. I stayed at home & played into the wee hours of the morning with the dogs and the Polaroid Camera. Polaroids were instant gratification, but still film. They don't age well. The New Years Day images, from the years to follow, have been digital.

Liz,
She was a beautiful little thing, I know that although she was small, she must have held a great big place in your heart. It is times like these that we tend to remember the ones we loved and have lost. This is a beautiful memorial for her. I hope her memories bring you comfort and peace. Thanks for sharing Micro with us.

Liz, Micro was beautiful. It hurts so much to lose our little ones, that we go on loving the new ones in our lives at all shows how much we loved our special ones. We say yes it hurts, but it's worth it.
