Two comments on this photo.

First, I took this photograph only a few feet away from the high waters of the flooded Park http://www.pbase.com/britestar/image/78532961 .
So despite all the sad things happening because of the Missouri River overflowing her banks, life does still go on.

Secondly, I was experimenting with my 1.4 Kenko tele extender on my Canon 70-300mm DO zoom lens. The 70-300mm is my "walk around" lens. However, in the past, the reach hasn't been far enough for most bird photography. Although not as sharp as either of my 300mm Prime Lenses with an extender, I'm still not displeased with this combo. If needed, I will now use it again rather than miss a shot.
