Our final, very distant view of the new born and her mother. They were almost two football fields away, but with multi extenders I did manage to get a face shot of them together.

The calf turned out to be a red, little girl (probably like her daddy).

I wish we could have stayed longer to see Mama get up again & allow the Baby to nurse for the first time. Unfortunately, we had a 400 mile drive ahead of us. When we left them, Mama and Baby seemed to be doing fine. It is an afternoon that I won't forget.
