In Memory of a Wild Raccoon

A tribute to the magnificent Woodland Creature that this wild raccon undoubtedly once was.

However, the photo itself is a sad side of Nature. When I spotted him in the woods, I immediately felt that something was not right with the raccoon. It soon became apparent that he was very weak and probably had only a few hours left. Shortly after I took this shot, the poor little one lay down on his side and was unable to even lift his head. It was heart breaking to see. However, he won't be forgotten.

Nice shot and good way to keep a remembrance. As A kid at home on our farm we once had a pet raccoon, very nice and friendly then one disappeared.

I love raccoons... it comforts me to know that he was in his Creator's eye and was truly not forgotten. Hopefully he had much fun in his life.
