A man with a huge pair of high power binoculars insisted this bird was a Bald Eagle.

However, even with just my naked eye, the profile did not seem to be that of an Eagle. Because it was too far away to make any identification with the naked eye, I went back to the car for my 300mm. Just before the subject disappeared into the grey sky, I snapped off this flight shot.

I was right. It wasn't an Eagle; it was an Osprey.
