Our new "mound island" planter bed https://pbase.com/britestar/mound_island has had to be fenced off to protect it from overly habituated, neighborhood, browsing deer. That worked for 14 months until yesterday one of the juveniles jumped the fence and got on top of the mound in a single bound. We sure could use some help from the local bluebirds who visit the ugly (what was supposed to be temporary) posts of the fishing wire fence. Maybe this one can talk Bambi's cousin out of a repeat visit...
