The high today of 94 degrees Fahrenheit was an all-time March record for the Metro.
The previous all-time high of 93 was set just 6 days before on Saturday, March 20th, 2026. That came just 5 days after a record low of 9 degrees. Talk about whiplash weather. After today's 94 degree high, the temperature tumbled 35 degrees in just 3 hours and is still dropping. The revised weather forecast now has overnight lows as being below freezing, with rain moving in beforehand.

Could this be Climate Change?
Climate change doesn’t create the events — it amplifies them
This is the key distinction scientists make:
The front is weather.
The record heat is climate.
The frequency of record heat is climate.
The severity of the temperature crash is climate‑amplified weather.
The instability is climate‑shifted baseline conditions.
Record low + record heat + record heat again + violent frontal collapse + atmospheric instability is the fingerprint of Climate Change.
