Veterans Day 2025

The above gentleman is 98 years old and currently works at Lowes. As an WWII American veteran, he remembers another time, friends lost in combat, and a devotion to this county. Today, is a time for Americans to remember him and those before him and those who followed, and who all gave for their country.

*************************

Today is a day to honor All Who Have Served

Including:

My husband (Air Force Officer),

my Aunt & 4 Uncles (on the battle front lines in the Air Force & in the Army)

my Grandfather (WWII),

my Great Grandfather (WWI),

my Great Great Grandfathers (all of them wearing the Union Blue in the Civil War: both as officers and enlisted),

PLUS their fathers and grandfathers & great grandfathers before them,
who served in the US Army during the War of 1812
plus

in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.

*******************************************************************

America’s veterans embody the ideals upon which America was founded more than 249 years ago. May those ideals and sacrifices help the country to survive the hardest of times.

You have quite an amazing family history Liz. My dad was int the Air Force - Korean War, other relatives in WW2 and WW1. Our family wasn't in the US much earlier than that. Both my wife and I are 1st gen Americans, me on my mom's side. Her dad was a B-24 navigator in the Pacific during WW2. Bravo for all of them, yours and mine and everyone else's.

Hats off to all Veterans, to whom we owe so much and yet we now seem to be destroying much of what they fought for and sacrificed for.
