According to historical weather data from Kansas City International Airport, the low temperature on August 26, 2025 hit 50°F. That officially breaks the previous record of 53°F set in 1910. It was a record-setting morning!
It was a rare to see such crisp, fall-like temps in August—especially after last week’s siffling heat! The normal low for today should have been 65 degrees. So, when it dipped to 50°F this year, it wasn’t just a record—it was a full 15 degrees below average. That’s a serious chill for late summer! The "cold" this morning felt so out of place for August.
