Flag Day is a holiday celebrated on June 14 in the United States.
It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.

The American flag was proudly waved on June 14, 2025, in various ways, from celebrating the American flag itself to the Army's 250th birthday celebration to a Nationwide "No Kings Day".
Women's March Foundation, in a news release entitled "SOS," called on Americans to "raise the alarm and fly the upside-down American flag as a visible resistance to an escalating authoritarian threat." The group pointed to Trump's heavy hand in deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles and pointed to his direct refusal to entirely rule out the Insurrection Act.
"We are watching a dictator take over — in real time," said Emiliana Guereca, president of Women's March Foundation, a non-profit born out of the 2017 Women's March.
