This has me concerned.
It's right against our back patio on the other side of the fence.
During the past few days, the groundhog has enlarged her hole (new this Spring) from a 5-inch diameter to about 5x bigger and this. Now, I can see why farmers say a tractor can fall into a groundhog hole and be damaged. This is no little hole. I want to fill this giant hole in. The groundhog must have other holes under the deck where it was born last year. This move to tunneling underneath our concrete patio is not good. This exit hole is dangerously large. None of our other groundhog holes (other places) have ever been this huge. This hole is far too close to our living area for me to feel comfortable. I tried putting dog poop down the hole to dissuade the groundhog, but instead of repelling the wild critter, it just inspired her make the hole bigger. Guess I need bigger, smellier dog poop.
