One more night (tomorrow) of below zero Fahrenheit temperatures, and then, we will finally be returning to normal (warmer) Winter tempts.
Crazy, dressed in only my nightie and slippers (no robe), I stepped outside in the bitter cold for a "minute" to snap two or three quick frames. We had sun yesterday - for the first time in 9 or 10 days - and windy conditions. That helped settle the most recent "dry" snow that didn't cling to the trees like last week's snowfall. Most of it now seems to be gone. So, I wanted to get this shot before the snow disappears even more. As brutally cold as it has been, I think the snow makes everything look better in Winter.
It got down to -9°F after I got this shot.
Super cold but not as cold as the -16°F that we had a few days ago.
We've had such a long stretch of below zero weather.
A return to normal (the 30's) in a couple of days will feel like the tropics.
