Because she had a lot of teeth removed by the specialist, she'll be on restricted activity for 6 weeks.
We were told that, right now, her jaw bone (where the teeth were removed) is now only as thick as a toothpick. Fortunately, that will improve with time as the empty tooth sockets calcify and fill in. Why is her jawbone now so thin? Well, Bella is only 3 1/2 pounds; so, her entire mouth started out being teeny tiny. It fits her.
Meanwhile, no running, jumping, hard dog food, or chew toys for Bella until after the beginning of December. Since Bella is our most active dog (who loves to run, jump, and chew on both her toys and on Chile), this is going to be a difficult time for all of us. Even the other girls will be affected. Normally, we leave a bowl of dry food on the kitchen floor for everyone to eat whenever they get hungry. However, with Bella currently not allowed dry food, that will have to be picked up. Chile will also not be allowed to wrestle with Bella like they normally do.
