Although it might sound strange, the three girls "asked" to be dressed up for the event.

I hadn't put their football fan outfits back into storage after the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl: https://pbase.com/britestar/image/173388531 So, when my husband & I sat down (in the middle of the day) to watch the parade on TV 3 days later, the girls kept running over to their outfits and then back to me. Up until parade day, they had just ignored their doggy outfits laying on the arm of the sofa. I'm not going to anthropomorphize their behavior because I really have no idea why they seemed to want to be dressed up again. They just did.

So, I followed along & put their Chiefs swag on them while we watched the parade. In all honesty, my husband & I didn't bother to put on our Chiefs swag to just watch the parade on TV. Only the dogs got dressed up. However, having the girls running around in their outfits added something extra to the day. What can I say? They were cute. And they knew it!!!
