Dining Next Door

Our next-door neighbors throw food for the deer on the ground just outside the fence surrounding their deck. In Summer, they do this daily; unless there is a day of bad weather. These neighbors normally stop feeding the deer over the Winter. Used to being fed by humans, many of the deer - that constantly hung around during the warm months & were conditioned to get food this way - never returned last Spring. A guess is that they may not have been successful in caring for themselves in harsh weather without human aide. But whatever. This Winter, the neighbors have made a change and now continue to put food out at least every few days.

The "weeds" in the foreground are the neighbors'; not ours. It is supposed to be a privacy hedge.

Great shot of the hungry deer, and "privacy" hedge? I don't see much privacy there.
