Due to the subzero (Fahrenheit) frigid cold snap (making our Solar Room too cold for most of the plants that normally Winter there), all of my tropical hibiscuses spent Christmastime this year inside the main part of our house. "Overflow" in the living room (which is still wall to wall with hibiscuses) caused this hibiscus (and about another 30 more) to spend almost two weeks in the foyer where there are no windows. We had hibiscuses everywhere!!! Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, they still kept blooming.
This hibiscus is an old one that has survived many harsh Winters.
She is at least 14 years old and has always been grown as a potted plant.
