Flowers Indoors

"Jolie" Hibiscus

'Jolie' means "pretty" in French, and this hibiscus flower lives up to its name. It is a large 7-9" single in a vivid fuchsia pink with a softer pink edge and frosty white "breath" in a halo around the eye zone. Father 'Dragon's Breath' contributed genes for the "breath" around the eye, and for the deep color. Mother 'Saffron' brightened the dark red into a vivid fuchsia and gave 'Jolie' a strong, sturdy, lush, pretty bush. Released from HVH in 2012. Hybridizer: C. Black

With 3 space heaters going full blast at night, the hibiscuses still in our Solar Room seem to be doing okay during the current, unseasonable, arctic blast that forced me to bring these https://pbase.com/britestar/image/173161432 into our foyer. Thanksgiving next week should be a little warmer. Sixteen hibiscuses are currently in bloom in the Solar Room and one in the Living Room.

They are vibrant and eye-catching in your very beautiful shot. No wonder your plants thrive so beautifully because you take wonderfully good care of them. V
