Yesterday's temperatures were unusually high temperatures for the date.

Today, the skies today have been dark and overcast all day. Heavy rain finally started around 5PM.
Temperatures have now started to quickly tumble quickly and will hit 28°F by Midnight. It will be going from unseasonably warm to unseasonably cold. The low tomorrow morning will be even colder @ 21°F (-6 Celsius).

Sadly, our Spring/Summer-like weather is now finally gone. Pleasant temperatures are now a thing of the past. I spent most all day yesterday outside enjoying the nice weather. But yesterday's weather is merely a memory; with colder than normal temperatures being on tap for at least the next two weeks. After that, cold weather is to be expected

Today, the dogs don't want to go outside. I only stepped outside briefly (before the rain started) to quickly snap this shot. The last of my house plants were brought inside early this morning. So, the deck now feels barren... I can no longer ignore the seasons have changed from the warm weather months to the cold weather months.

This morning people drove to work with their car air conditioners on. This evening, they are driving home with their heaters on. But that's not totally unusual in the Midwest; where tempts can swing 40 degrees (or more) in just a few hours. This year has just been a little stranger than some others.

Some of our Silver Maples (to the West) still have their green leaves. The Bradford Pear (above) is normally the very last tree in the season to hold on to its leaves. Usually, it has colorful red leaves into December: https://pbase.com/britestar/image/167343369 This year, leaves are more or less just blowing off; rather than all showing much color. It's just been an overall weird year weatherwise. And the rest of Nature has been responding.
