This cutie comes around in the evening for a treat of spent hibiscus and petunia flowers (or other dried out edible blooms); which I put out daily for the wildlife. Sometimes I see him; sometimes I don't. But the next morning, all of the old flowers are gone.

A week from today, the tempts are supposed to drop into the middle 30's. That's early in the season. As a result, we're going to have to bring our cold sensitive flowers indoors & thus put an end to my feeding the wildlife flowers each evening. I was hoping that we'd still have a couple more weeks, but weather here can have dramatic huge swings. Today, it was over 80 and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer. Nighttimes have been staying in the 60's. After the day or two of upcoming unseasonable weather in the 30's, the temperatures are supposed to return to the 70's and 80's. However, I just can't risk losing everything. So, so the hibiscus and petunias must come inside before next weekend.

At that point, "our" Thumper will lose his evening treats.

So maybe our 2022 Thumper is a descendant of the bunny that inspired Walt to first imagine Bambi's buddy. Fun - although fanciful - thought.
