It Used to Fit 4-06-22

I sorted our very spoilt dogs' wardrobe today. Seeing me lay out the outfits, the crazy girls kept after me until I put something on each of them. I didn't plan to do that, but it seemed to make them happy. It got them to stop pestering me. Weird. I often wonder what goes on inside their heads. Dressed up, Bella and Chile went off to play with each other, and Bailey went to sit on the sofa. Bailey is giving me a dirty look in the photo above because I had just told her to stop chewing on her hind toes. She was miffed over that. LOL. Bailey doesn't like to be told what she can and can't do.

Back when Bailey was 3 years old, the doggy outfit, that she is wearing, fit her perfectly. It was a tiny bit loose on younger Bella who was just a puppy back then. Not worn in almost 5 years, it now seems a tad small for Bailey who is now 8 and has put on some weight lately. When you're as small as Bailey, I guess just a half pound weight gain can make a big difference.

Here is Bella in the same outfit at 2 1/2 pounds and 5 months old: https://pbase.com/britestar/image/165780897

Bella is now 5 years old and a half pound bigger than older Bailey. Thus, Bella absolutely can't squeeze into the outfit like Bailey still can. Since the outfit doesn't fit tiny Bailey as well as it used to, maybe that's a subtle hint that we need a new puppy in the house. Or not. For now, the outfit has been just packed away.
