My current 3 Chihuahua girls absolutely LOVE to dress up and play model. If I do a shoot at home - and not the studio with a team assisting me - all of the girls will fuss & cry to be the one chosen. They know when things are being set up and then immediately want to be part of it all. The studio is a bit more structured with the set up ready for them before they get there.

My previous Hallmark (and other modeling assignments) dogs did like the attention they received whenever doing a professional gig. Nevertheless, none ever "asked" to have a costume put on them. They'd just accept the various props and do the job like the pros they were. However, Bailey, Bella, and Chile become downright joyful at the idea of dressing up to "play model". Without being asked, they will run over to be dressed up. And after that, they also don't need treats to do a job. They are happy being the center of attention and will do what I ask of them. Sometimes, they want to please too much. Funny, very devoted girls.

This year, we had some at-home fun on St Patrick's Day. Normally, we would have gone to the big St Patrick's Day parade (and left the dogs at home) and then some other activities. However, we've still not comfortable enough (during these times of continuing COVID) to become part of a large crowd of closely packed strangers. So, we stayed home. As a result, the dogs loved having the day with us and dressing up. Also being asked to model for me was a bonus for them. It was a good day. Our furkids' happiness makes us happy, too.

A dog really has to love you to willing wear a silly hat and not mind it. Bella loves me & didn't mind the silly hat. I'm not sure what the hat was designed for, but it just fit her.
