Hope it works well.
My older husband got his on November 9th.

The COVID positivity rate in both Kansas and Missouri is now above 12%.
COVID infections are continuing on an upward trend once again.
In our specific county, the positivity rate is notably higher @ 21.87%.
Delta is still the dominant variant.

Meanwhile:
Missouri reported its first case of Omicron today.
This is just one week after South Africa announced this "variant of concern."
Therefore, the tale of this COVID pandemic is now starting a new chapter.
Hope the vaccines and boosters will continue to help avoid severe disease. Only time will tell.

Unfortunately
A Not-So-Happy a Prediction from on infectious disease doctor:
"All signs point toward omicron spreading wildly throughout the world.
New COVID-19 vaccines could be developed to fight any new strains," he said. "However, that will take time to make sure they’re given the proper trials and tests necessary to ensure safety.
"We’ve already heard from vaccine developers about what’s happening next. Moderna said it is still months away from a vaccine that will target omicron, as I wrote for the Deseret News. Similarly, Pfizer said its omicron-centered shots will be ready in slightly over 100 days.
“Nice idea, but honestly, it is not practical,” Leong said about the omicron-centric vaccines. “We won’t be able to rush out the vaccines in time and by the time the vaccines come, practically everyone will be infected by omicron given this high infectious and transmissibility.”

Looks like a self-imposed "lock down" may become necessary for many if Omicron is really more contagious, avoids current vaccinations, and is just as deadly as Delta. Hopefully, the current booster will give some protection.
