As COVID rates go back up again, we're continuing to get our groceries delivered.
This order (of what was supposed to be a single Chicken Dinner "Family Meal") ended up being a very expensive surprise when Insta Cart charged for 22 chicken dinners; not just the one ordered. That's a whole lot of fried chicken.
However, throughout the pandemic, we've learned that having someone else grocery shop for us (even when we make out the order on-line) can bring a lot of surprises with often getting things we didn't order. There is also a problem of not having many things ordered being delivered.
The COVID vaccination rate for our county is now up to 38.7%. That's an improvement, but it is still notably below the National Average. We also live in a "No Masks Required" county where no one wears a mask when grocery shopping.
Therefore, despite the inconvenience and frustration of frequently receiving "mixed up" grocery orders, we still prefer to stay out of the grocery store. Instead, we are continuing to let someone else shop for our order & then deliver it. We get whatever they bring us... Sometimes, it's what we ordered. Sometimes, it's a surprise. That's just how things must be for now.
