I no longer remember how old the wax begonias are in this planter box. They're over 10 years.
One Springtime a long time ago, I purchased them to Summer out on our deck. They did for several Summers & came inside our Solar Room each year to winter-over. For some reason, I didn't put them back outside for the past two Summers. However, they've been doing great as just house plants.
At this time of year, flowers indoors are now much appreciated. The blooms may not be as fancy as some other flowers, but with the rust colored leaves, these are very pretty plants.
As part of the holiday weekend, I'm skipping the news again today. I need a break from all the bad news; which the experts say is going to soon get a lot worse. We followed the rules and didn't travel for Thanksgiving, nor have family visit us. Although I miss our "normal life", I feel good about staying safe & not contributing to the country's current horrible situation. Wish more Americans could say the same.
Although it's now too cold to stay outside, I can play indoors with high ISO's & my new mirrorless camera. Getting this camera during the pandemic has been therapeutic. Learning it helps to keep me busy during these unusual times. Although not perfect, the Canon R6 does seem to do a decent job with very low light. It can be used indoors without flash.
