Photographing "something" on New Years Day has been an annual tradition ever since I got my first digital camera. Ditto even long before that...going back to film & my childhood.

This year, six year old, Long Coat Chihuahua "Bailey" stole the New Years Day scene. She gets an A+ as a canine model. I wasn't planning to do doggie photos. But when they saw me with the camera, both Bella & Bailey ran to sit under the tree to "pose". Totally unexpected, that surprised me. Things then went from there. This shoot was basically the dogs' idea.
