Larvae

"Something" has been eating on my hibiscus flowers and leaves during the past 24 hours. A lot!!!
Whatever that "something" was, it left THIS unappealing pile of goo behind on one of the hole ravaged leaves.

When going to the Internet to look for a larvae ID, I quickly gave up my search. Various larvae photos were even more disgusting (to me anyhow) than the above blob of larvae (or eggs or whatever)of some sort. There were no adults to be found on the plants. Nevertheless, whatever the culprit, it sure did a lot of fast destruction. I'm kind of at a loss as how to handle the situation other than to destroy the larvae. IMO, the creature that left this mess behind may have been fairly large. Larger than I want to encounter...
