Unfortunately, the Cell Phone Cam was unable to pick up the subtle nuances to the real life scene. This figure had to be one of the creepiest things I've seen in a while!!!
He - along with his mock set up (including office desk & wheel chair) - sits next to the front door of a very popular local diner. Because my attention was on our meeting up with other people who were already there, I didn't notice him when we first went in. However, as my husband & I left, Plastic Paul scared the daylights out of me. His skin was really plastic. Underneath the facial plastic (that looked like a mask) were eyes that looked like living human eyes. I should have gotten a close up of that, but this guy was so creepy that I didn't want to get too close to him.
Guess I watch too manner horror movies because this figure seemed to be like something out of one. What did the diner do? Embalm the original owner in plastic & then set him at the front door??? Those eyes!!! They weren't plastic like the rest of the figure. The trapped eyes stared at you; like Boris Karlof did from his wrappings in the original mummy movie. It was like there was a living human entrapped underneath the plastic. Eeeeek!!!
