Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens
It doesn't have Image Stabilization, but it is a very sharp. Much sharper than my old reliable Canon 24-105 f/4 IS.
Negatives are no IS, heavier, and shorter range than the 24-105.
Positives are EXCEPTIONALLY crisp images: comparable to my Canon Macro and my Canon 300mm f/2.8 lenses. Lovely bokeh (with the right f/stop & background); plus amazing stars when shooting sun dappled backlighting.
I want something sharper than the 24-105 f/4, but I'm not thrilled about the lack of IS on the 24-70 f/2.8. Would that be something I get used to???
I can hand hold an IS lens down to 1/15 of a second and hit focus. I'm not so sure about this lens.
