Not Worth the $4000 +

One Way Fare

JMHO. The "lay flat" seats may be better than the old days.
However, meal service and the actual food served (on American carriers) has dramatically gone down hill. This meal on a small, dessert sized plate looks better than it tasted.

On long haul International Flights, Business Class has replaced First Class on most flights.

Also gone is the elegant meal service with fine China & high quality stemware. Instead, you get a pre prepared tray with tiny, very plain dishes. But at least, the dishes aren't plastic - YET. Only one kind of short tumbler is provided as the glassware for all beverage - for even champagne... But again, this is still glass and not plastic. On this flight, there was a bread plate on the pre plated tray, but no bread was ever offered. Odd. The "silverware" somewhat reminded me of plastic ware. Small and simplistic. However, it was actually metal.

Despite everything, this all is still better than "Cattle Coach" in the back of the planes. Flying (any class) today is not what it used to be. Unfortunately, it is a necessary evil to go many places reasonably quickly. Air travel has opened the world to everyone. But the days of glamour are pretty much gone.

Yes, that is a mini corn (2 1/2 inches long) in the photo. So you can judge the scale of the other items from that. The fish was also rubbery and IMO not edible. After one bite, I skipped it.

Nicely presented food, but...really very plain as for that price.
