Harvest Moon 2018

Popping Out of the Clouds

JPG image reflecting atmospheric conditions; including colors

There is technically more "noise" in the image than I'd prefer,
but this camera does not handle low light well.
I can accept some noise to get an image like this.

The "Harvest Moon" is the full moon nearest to the autumnal equinox.
Although often in October, this year it falls in September.

Saturday, Sept. 22, was the first official day of autumn in much of the Northern Hemisphere, even though was officially still Summer through the daylight hours.
The first day of Fall was actually on Sunday Sept 23.

The moon officially turned full on Monday Sept 24 at 10:52 EDT.
