The normal temperature for today should be 78 degrees.
The actual temperature, however, was 96 degrees.
HOT! HOT! HOT!
Plus humid. VERY humid (over 75% humidity) with the heat index soaring to 106. The rest of Memorial Day Weekend is suppose to be more of the same with record highs being broken. Tomorrow the actual temperature is suppose to be even hotter than today: 97 degrees. Plus just as humid. With no breeze and not a cloud in the sky. Ugh!!! At the moment, our area is under a "Heat Advisory" with outdoor activities discouraged. And it's only May...
This heat wave is suppose to continue at least well into the first week of June with actual temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and extremely high humidity. I'm sure at that point, we'll be under a "Heat Warning" because of a real danger of heat stroke. Long range, the heat wave is predicted to go on into the foreseeable future.
As a result, our walks with the stroller have been put on hold. It's just too hot and humid for both the dogs and me. At 1 AM as I'm posting this, it is still 82 degrees outside & feels even hotter with the humidity. I'm not looking forward to the full heat of the day. Yesterday was miserable, today is supposed to be worse, and as we go into the work week, things are supposed to get even hotter and hotter.
And to think that about a month ago, we were experiencing record cold weather & a prolonged hard freeze. This year, we went almost directly from Winter to Summer. We missed most of Spring.
Mother Nature seems to have gone totally crazy.
