The large business next door "Cadillac Catering" @ 1935 McGee suffered a devastated fire May 2012 that collapsed the roof. There was too much damage to be repaired. However, that building still stood (vacant & abandoned) until Summer of 2015. During a city "clean up" sweep, the empty Cadillac building was finally demolished.

Sometime along the line, the business of "Building Keepers" (a Janitorial Service) also moved out of 1927 McGee. As is often the natural order of a declining inner city, gangs and Nature then made their mark on both empty properties.
