Two weeks after the World Series, Kansas City Royals merchandise is still popular with the locals.
The vendor selling these "discount" T-shirts said that he is from out of town and follows various sports events around the country.
Although he is not selling "licensed" merchandise (which is also still very much in demand), the price of these "knock offs" is just too hard to resist.
During the 5 minutes it took me to pick out 3 shirts from the limited selection, he had more than a dozen other customers also buy something.
He claimed that it was a slower day than usual because of the change in the weather. It was late in the afternoon.
Everything was cash only. So I'm guessing his staying at this corner until his inventory (obviously huge) is gone is worth his time.
People in Kansas City very much want anything they can get connected to the Royals.
Plus where else can you buy a T-shirt today for just 3 dollars and 33 cents an still be making a profit???
