Once she lived like this http://www.pbase.com/britestar/image/7044162 . However late in 2002, a lack of Zoo funds moved her out of a somewhat more natural habitat & put her into a cage.
The steel wire is so thick that this the visitors can't see in. Plus the sad animals can only see out by pressing an eye ball against one of the tiny holes.

The wire cage was supposed to only be temporary.
But here we are 11 years later.
