Spring Means Snakes 2012

on my back deck

I was NOT happy to see another rat snake when I went outside this morning.
A couple of years ago, this one http://www.pbase.com/britestar/image/124786637 ate the 3 baby birds I was photographing.

We had a rat snake in our yard as well ... about 4-5 ft long ... altho I know they're harmless, I still keep my distance.
