High Water

The Bridge Over Rush Creek

With the combined recent rains locally and the release from the reservoirs to the North, it now is only a matter of time before flooding occurs. The question is which will be the first area to produce flood waters: The Missouri River herself OR Aloe Creek that feeds into the River OR Rush Creek that is connected to both Aloe Creek & the Missouri River. Seeing the water within inches of the bottom of the Rush Creek bridge this afternoon, I have a feeling that this area may be the first to fall. I remember how incredibly fast the flood waters rose here in 2007. Just to get out of the rapidly flooding Park by way of this bridge, I had to unexpectedly wade through water almost up to my knees. Reporting the news can have its dangers. Based on that experience, I plan to be careful not to get trapped in the Park again.

Looks like exercise and fitness training goes on in any event! Red-clad walker makes a bit splash on this bridge over troubled waters.
