Polar Rover

How you photograph Polar Bears

Because - for the most part - it is too dangerous to go out on foot to photograph wild Polar Bears, special vehicles like this are used. The interiors of these vehicles are comfortable and have windows that easily open. Tundra Rovers also offer an open air, back deck for those who want to set up a tripod. I could get spoilt by not having to hike for miles just to photograph a single bear. More importantly, these Rovers offer safety in a very dangerous area. Polar Bears are different than Grizzly Bears. You really don't want to hike without a gun if you could encounter a Polar Bear. Tundra Rovers, however, allow stress free, wildlife photography.
