Wild

My First Two Wild Polar Bears

Photographed from the window of a school bus just outside the city limits of Churchill, Manitoba. This was on the short trip out to the Tundra Rover Depot to transfer to a vehicle for the Hudson Bay. Because the danger of Polar Bears in the area is so high, the perimeter of the only nearby town is patrolled by armed guards with shot guns. At this time of year, Polar Bears haven't eaten in 4 to 5 months. Cute as these off-white fuzzies may look, they are extremely dangerous.
