There is a story about this photo. The reflective surface is a curved Helicopter windshield. And this http://fwcb.cfans.umn.edu/coop/projects/nestorone/index.html is where we had landed.
Nothing really was going on; however, the pilot kept his shot gun close at hand. Wandering around, I soon found a fresh, very clear, bear foot print. Thus, I got a photo that I really wanted. This foot print also meant that Polar Bear had been there extremely recently. Too recently for comfort. That was my cue to stick closer to the man with the gun. You don't mess around out in the open with Polar Bears.
The fence around Nestor One is an electric fence, and there is a good reason for that. We were outside the fence.
