Thanks, Rick. I know a few areas where several hawks tend to perch and hunt. I regularly check them out, and on a couple of occasions was fortunate enough to see some action. So, no I haven't used any special camouflage, and I've never used baiting of any kind. I guess it's just persistence and some insights gained from observing red-tailed hawk behavior. Once in great while, when a bird is narrowly focused on something below, a calm photographer that avoids sudden movements can move in closer than the hawk would normally allow. 99% of the time, it doesn't work, however.

Beautiful shots the timing is great . Were you in a hide box or did you bait the area?
