Studio Directions

Contact Information: It's always best to contact me by email--as I'm rarely home, and find it's easier to misplace a phone message than an email message! :-)

You can reach me at: aurora at AuroraVphotography dot com - replacing the "at" and "dot" with the proper symbols, of course! ;) The day of a shoot or meeting, I will be keeping an eye on both my phone, and my email--so you can use either at that point. For all other times--email's the best. (I'll provide my phone number when we schedule a meeting.)

Location: My loft/studio is in South Boston - directly behind the Children's Museum, four blocks from South Station. This is both my home and my workspace, and is open by appointment only.
33 Sleeper St #303, Boston, MA 02210.

By public transportation - South Station (red line) is the nearest T stop--a mere four blocks away, but Aquarium (blue line), Downtown Crossing (orange line), and Park St (green line) are all within an easy 10-15 minute walk, through the downtown/financial/waterfront areas. Enter "South Station, Boston, MA" in the Google Map box below, for a handy map.

If it's a REALLY cold day, or you're feeling really lazy, you can grab the Silver Line at South Station...(make sure you're on a bus that goes to "Courthouse Station"--just one stop away), and be dropped off two blocks away from the studio, on Seaport Blvd.

Parking: There is plenty of metered parking within a four block radius of Sleeper St--but the meter maids are aggressive about ticketing if you're over the limit, so try not to cut it close. There is also some nonresident parking on Congress St (a few blocks away from Sleeper),if you care to look for it, and for the truly lazy (like myself!) there are parking lots all around within a four block radius of Sleeper St. Parking ranges from $9 a day, to $23 a day, so look around for the best deal. (The lot on Northern Ave, across from the Barking Crab, just off Seaport Blvd at the corner of Sleeper St and Northern Ave, is probably the least expensive for a day--but don't take my word for it--look around.) There is also metered parking on Seaport Blvd, and there is often free parking a bit farther up Northern Ave, (by the large parking lot).

By Car: If coming by car, the Congress Street Bridge is no longer under construction, or closed to traffic. The Evelyn Moakley Bridge (on Seaport Blvd) is parallel to the Congress St bridge, and allows you to approach Sleeper St from the other end of the block. The Summer St bridge is also parallel, and only takes you a block or so out of the way, but Seaport or Congress are easier.

Handy Landmarks

* The Children's Museum - it's big, taking up 1/2 a block of Sleeper St, and runs smack up against Congress St. Its backside is across the street from me.

* The giant Hood Milk Bottle - this is on the South Boston side of the Congress St Bridge - on Congress St side of the Children's Museum. It can be easily seen while walking along Summer St or Dorchester St, coming from South Station

* The Barking Crab (seafood shack) - this is on the South Boston side of the Evelyn Moakley Bridge (the bridge over the Fort Point Channel, on Seaport Blvd), at the intersection of Sleeper St and Seaport Blvd. It can easily seen while driving on Seaport Blvd...and is a great place to get a reasonably priced seafood lunch or dinner, after your session.

* The new courthouse - this is at the intersection of Sleeper St and Northern Ave, and is next to the Barking Crab. It's near free parking and two large, inexpensive parking lots.
