Our 4 day loop hike in the Grand Gulch area of Southern Utah - west of the nearest towns of Blanding and Bluff. We hiked down East Slickhorn canyon to the San Juan river valley and traversed above the river before returning via the main Slickhorn canyon. This area is pretty remote- we saw others only on the final day as we exited Slickhorn- but with great scenery and loads of interesting ruins. The traverse high above the San Juan river was particularly scenic and the trail here on disused mining tracks made for easy going. Overall a great trip! Map here Also see our hiking blog
