Mt Whitney and Death Valley

We drove to Death Valley from Lone Pine for the day in blistering heat at the end of August 1996 and then went up Mount Whitney via a super chilly bivouac at the well named Iceberg Lake. From there we visited Owens River Gorge for some rock climbing and the weird and wonderful Mono Lake.
