We hiked into the La Sal mountains from a camp at Warner Lake Traihead, climbing up to over 12,000 feet for some welcome cool air. The autumnal aspen colours were tremendous but long distance views were a bit hazy due to smoke from a forest fire to the north near Salt Lake City. We also visited the Fisher Towers and had an overnight in 'Behind the Rocks' to the south of Moab. All excellent little trips!
