Evening Reflection

I told my kids "It's just a 10 minute walk - come join me on this little walk around Bell Rock and the Courthouse Butte!". OK, three miles and almost an hour later my little exaggeration had become a very rich family joke, but it was a gorgeous evening and nobody seemed to mind (much). This image was found on the the most distant part of the trail as it rounds the Courthouse Butte. There was a multitude of little ponds from recent rains and this one caught my eye - not only for the unusual shape of the pool, but also from the striking little flow of water into it over the rock. The composition came together very quickly, and exposing for the sunlit rocks gave me the image I desired...

Dear Brian,
I was marveling over how each photo of yours is a work of art when I got to Evening Reflection I just sat here and cried. Your imagery in this photo captures the soul of mother earth in all her elements, earth, air, water and fire from the sun's light on the rock. Magic. . .pure magic! I am an Aura Photographer. Aloha, Connie
