The composition of this photo was immediately recognized as I passed by this scene. The late afternoon light was filtering through the edge of the aspens, only lighting this single tree, next to a very photogenic fence. Under the late afternoon sky the fence took on much of the color from the blue sky, while the intense gold was intensified by the setting sun on the aspen leaves.
