7:54 AM. After spending some time with the bushes along the shoreline, I wondered among the tufas looking for interesting compositions in the tufas and lake. I came upon this scene which demonstrated a wonderful contrast between the warm sunlit foreground tufas, and the distant tufas mostly in cold shadow. While the 'best' light (or 'magic hour') was gone, there was still plenty of opportunities for usable shots, and I continued onward... 1/90 sec, f/8.
