This is one of the first images I took of the cave - during the afternoon with the light mostly coming from the opening at the left side of this image. I loved the symmetry of this image, almost an abstract symmetry, which confuses the eye somewhat as you look. As is the case for many of the images of this gallery, this one is a combination of 2 images: one exposed for the highlights, another exposed for the indirect light in the cave. The highlights are still blown, but the dynamic range is much greater than with the single exposures. Used the WC-58C wide angle adapter on my G2 to get the widest angle possible for this shot (approx 24mm equivalent).
This is one of my only 'keepers' from my afternoon visit...I returned in the mid-morning the next day to hopefully capture some unique lighting as the sun shone through the narrow crack at the top of the cave.
