Near the top of the Navajo Loop I looked back toward the afternoon sun to the west. The scene before me was all in shadow, with the exception of a bright rim of sunlit snow near the top of virtually every feature. Focusing on a particularly graceful section of snowy ridgeline resulted in this photograph…one of my favorites of the entire trip.
