Sunrise to Sunset at Horseshoe Bend, AZ

As a little curiosity, I spent several hours at Horseshoe Bend watching the light change over
this beautiful little bend in the Colorado River. It was a magnificent experience. Here
are 8 shots taken from the same location to demonstrate the change of light...some subtle...some
more dramatic...over the course of a typical late summer day. Enjoy!

Great shots! I'm going to the Horseshoe bend next summer, and I wonder, what time of day is the "late morning" shot taken? (That is when I'd like to go!)

WoW, Spectacular ! Its interesting, a "typical late summer day" in the colorado river includes those clouds, here in Israel you hardly get any clouds during winter, summer is not even just clear blue skies but bright white light for a few months (luckily we do have nights here so we don't go completely crazy) but a couple of clouds and some sunrise/set effect always sets you right with the interesting lighting you're hoping for as a photographer..

Long time since I've visited your gallery, Brian, and landed right on the Grand Canyon cliff. overlooking the Horseshoe. Horseshoe is a symbol of luck and you had a lucky day with breathtaking photos. It's hard to tell which one I like best but the time lap photography definitely creates something different and exciting.
